C Club Statement on President Donald J. Trump Conviction

In response to the conviction of Donald J. Trump, the C Club of Houston issued the following statement:

The conviction of Donald J. Trump in New York City is a stain on the American justice system. From the beginning, it was clear that President Trump was never going to be given a fair trial. Millions of Americans are seeing this for what it is – a political persecution orchestrated as an attempt to weaken the leading opponent to Joe Biden. Make no mistake, this entire charade is an affront to the rule of law and an attack on the notion that, in America, we hold free and fair elections where the voters get to decide who represents them.Now is a time for action. We cannot allow our country to continue its free fall and we must stand with Donald J. Trump as he confronts one of the greatest witch hunts in American history.
